Iranian short films travel to India

TEHRAN, Nov. 09 (MNA) – Iranian short films Blue Eyed Boy and Red Dream will attend All Lights India International Film Festival and IndiEarth XChange Film Festival.

Blue Eyed Boy, directed by Amir Masoud Soheili, will vie at the All Lights India International Film Festival which will be held in Kochi, India from 15-19 Nov.

It has been screened at more than 75 international film festivals and bagged several awards including the grand prize in Mirlift International Short Film Festival in Morocco, best film in World Auteur Short Film Festival in India and Yogyakarta Film Festival in Indonesia as well as the audience award and the jury award for the best film at Russia's Beinten International Film Festival.

The short film recounts the story of a young boy with an unusual type of color blindness that causes him to see the world in blue. When medical treatment fails to help his parents take him to a local shaman for remedy.

 The other film Red Dream, directed by Shahriar Pourseyedian, will attend IndiEarth XChange Festival slated for Nov. 27th to 29th in Chennai, India.

The film has won several international accolades; chosen at the 7th Annual Iranian Film Festival – San Francisco, a diploma for humanism from Ukrain’s International Children's Television Festival (Dytiatko) as well as Albania’s International Film Festival for Children and Youth Audience, “AniFestROZAFA”.

The film tells the story of Mohamad, who sees the world around him from his own point of view. The New Year is arriving and the little boy has a dream.
